Tribal Girls’ Hostel Built At A Cost Of ₹2 Crore

Accommodation for 300 students; 260 girls currently staying at the facility

Warangal:MLA Donthi Madhava Reddy and Warangal district collector Dr Satya Sharada inaugurated a newly constructed hostel for tribal girls in Narsampet on Sunday. The facility was built at a cost of `2 crore to provide better accommodation for tribal girl students.

The MLA said the new building was constructed because the rooms in the old hostel were insufficient to accommodate the growing number of students. The new facility has the capacity to house around 300 girls, of whom 260 are currently staying there and pursuing their education.

He said the infrastructure had been improved to ensure that accommodation-related problems did not affect the students’ education. The new building would provide a more comfortable environment, enabling the girls to concentrate better on their studies. He emphasised that providing essential facilities in hostels was crucial to helping girl students excel in higher education.

The district collector said hostels played a significant role in promoting education among tribal girls. Better accommodation and improved infrastructure would help students achieve better academic results, she said, adding that the newly inaugurated building would benefit the students.
