Trainee IPS Uday Krishna Case: Shocking Details Revealed In Remand Report

Hyderabad: Key details have emerged from the remand report of trainee IPS officer M Uday Krishna Reddy, who was arrested in a case involving alleged sexual harassment and assault of a woman trainee IPS officer. Uday Krishna is currently lodged in Chanchalguda Central Prison.
According to the Hyderabad Commissioner of Police VC Sajjanar, who also stated that the two first became acquainted through Instagram after she heard his inspiring story from being a police constable to becoming an IPS officer. They later grew closer while undergoing training at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy ( SVPNPA), he said.
The remand report stated that they remained in a relationship for a considerable period before differences emerged between them. It is alleged that Reddy became suspicious and repeatedly harassed the woman officer whenever she interacted with others.
The two reportedly separated during their training at the National Police Academy but met again after she rejoined the training programme in Mussoorie.
As per a release from Hyderabad Police, throughout his training period at the NPA and SVPNPA, the relationship with the victim was marked by frequent arguments, emotional manipulation, possessiveness, and volatile behaviour.
According to police, the accused made repeated threats to commit suicide, showed weapons, insulted her with abusive words, made persistent demands for "multiple relationships", threw and damaged her laptop, created fake social media accounts after being blocked, and threatened to release private chats.
"With this unbearable attitude, the victim broke up with the accused and married another person," police said. Police said their relationship resumed briefly but deteriorated again because of his allegedly possessive and abusive behaviour. The remand report claimed that he assaulted the woman officer on five occasions.
The woman later submitted an internal complaint to senior officials at the National Police Academy, police said.
According to the report, the woman officer got married in May this year, and the alleged harassment from Reddy reportedly intensified after her marriage. He also physically assaulted her, following which she approached Attapur police with the support of her husband.

Investigators alleged that he had also harassed women in Hyderabad, his native place, and among trainees at the police academy. Uday Krishna hails from Ullapalem village, located in Singarayakonda mandal of Prakasam district in Andhra Pradesh.
The investigating officer for the case is Charminar Women's Police Station Inspector (CI) Jyotsna, under the supervision of P. Lavanya Naik Jadav, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) for the Women Safety Wing in Hyderabad. The trainee IPS officer, who was booked on July 18 for sexual assault, sexual harassment, stalking, and threatening a fellow woman trainee at the SVPNPA, was arrested on Wednesday, July 29, and produced before Upparapally Court and sent on judicial remand for 14 days.
