Traffic Restrictions for Hanuman Jayanti Vijaya Yatra
Traffic police said updates will be available on the Hyderabad Traffic Police Facebook page and on X handle.

Hyderabad: Traffic diversions will be in place from 9 am to 8 pm on Thursday in connection with the Sri Hanuman jayanti Vijaya Yatra procession across various parts of the twin cities, the Hyderabad Traffic Police said.
Diversions will be enforced at Gowliguda Ram Mandir, Putlibowli crossroads, Narayanguda crossroads, Chikkadpally crossroads, RTC crossroads, Ashoknagar, Gandhinagar, backside of Viceroy Hotel, Sattva Necklace Mall, Kavadiguda, CGO Towers, Bansilalpet road, Bible House, Ghasmandi, City Light Hotel, Bata, Ujjaini Mahankali Temple and between Old Ramgopalpet Police Station and Paradise crossroads.
Commuters have been advised to avoid the procession routes during the notified hours and plan travel accordingly.
Traffic police said updates will be available on the Hyderabad Traffic Police Facebook page and on X handle @HYDTP. In case of emergency, commuters may contact the traffic helpline at 9010203626.
The diversions and road closures will be lifted after the procession passes through the respective points.
Suggested routes between 9 am and 2 pm:
Commuters travelling from Lakdikapul towards Dilsukhnagar or the Old City via Koti, Bank Street and Chaderghat have been advised to take the route along Basheerbagh, Old MLA Quarters, Himayatnagar Y yunction, Narayanaguda flyover, Barkathpura, Tourist junction, Nimboliadda, Chaderghat causeway and Nalgonda crossroads.
Those travelling from Dilsukhnagar towards Mehdipatnam via Koti and DM&HS have been advised to travel via LB Nagar, Uppal, Tarnaka and Secunderabad or alternatively via LB Nagar, Chandrayangutta, Aramghar, Attapur and Mehdipatnam.
Suggested routes between 2 pm and 7 pm:
Commuters travelling from Lakdikapul towards Secunderabad Railway Station or Uppal have been advised to take the route along VV statue, Somajiguda, Greenlands, Begumpet flyover, Prakashnagar flyover and Paradise flyover. From Paradise, commuters may proceed towards JBS, Secunderabad Railway Station or Uppal via St John’s rotary.
A separate procession starting from Karmanghat Hanuman Temple under the Malkajgiri Commissionerate will enter the city at Champapet and pass through Champapet crossroads, IS Sadan, Dhobi Ghat, Saidabad Y junction, Saidabad Colony road and Sankeshwar Bazaar before entering Malkajgiri limits at Saroornagar tank.
It will re-enter city limits at the Rajiv Gandhi statue, Dilsukhnagar and proceed via Moosarambagh junction, Malakpet, Nalgonda crossroads, Azampura rotary and Chaderghat crossroads before joining the main procession at DM&HS Women’s College junction.
The tributary procession will cover a distance of 10.8 km before merging with the main procession, according to a press release issued by joint commissioner of police (traffic) D. Joel Davis.
Citizens have been requested to cooperate with the traffic police during the arrangements.
