Traffic Diversions Announced for Golconda Bonalu Celebrations in Hyderabad
Restrictions in place on key routes from July 16 to 26; commuters advised to take alternative roads

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Traffic Police has issued a detailed advisory ahead of the Sri Jagadamba Mahankali Golconda Bonalu celebrations-2026, announcing traffic diversions on July 16, 19, 23 and 26 from 6 am to 10 pm.
With a large number of devotees expected at Golconda Fort, heavy congestion is likely on major routes including Ramdevguda–Makkai Darwaza, Langar Houz–Fathe Darwaza, and Seven Tombs–Banjara Darwaza stretches.
Traffic from Narsingi, Sun City and Langar Houz towards Shaikpet and Gachibowli will be diverted at Ramdevguda, while vehicles from Film Nagar and Shaikpet will be rerouted at Banjara Darwaza towards Neknampur. Similarly, traffic from Moghal ka Nala via Langar Houz will be diverted at Langar Houz junction.
Authorities have also made elaborate parking arrangements at multiple locations including Artillery Centre, Owaisi Ground, Hockey Ground, and Deccan Park for devotees approaching from different routes.
Devotees have been advised to park only at designated areas and walk to the temple, while regular commuters are urged to avoid these routes and use alternatives.
