Traffic Curbs for Ujjaini Mahakali Bonalu in Secunderabad

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Traffic Police has issued a detailed traffic advisory in view of the upcoming Ujjaini Mahakali Bonalu Jatara in Secunderabad, scheduled from August 2 to August 4.

Traffic diversions will be enforced within a 2-km radius of the Ujjaini Mahankali Temple to manage the large influx of devotees and vehicles. Several key junctions, including Karbala Maidan, Ranigunj, Paradise, Patny X Roads, SBI X Roads, YMCA X Roads, Sangeeth X Road, and Rasoolpura, are expected to witness heavy congestion.

Authorities have announced road closures starting from midnight of August 1 and 2 until 3 am on August 4. Key routes leading to the temple from Tobacco Bazar, Subhash Road (Bata X Roads to Rocha Bazar), Hill Street via Adavaiah X Road, and General Bazar will remain closed for all vehicular traffic.

Multiple diversion points have been set up at Patny, Ghasmandi, Bible House, Karbala, Ranigunj, and Paradise junctions to regulate traffic flow. RTC buses and general traffic will be rerouted through alternative corridors, including Minister Road, Rasoolpura, Musheerabad, and Tank Bund.

The police have also designated several parking areas for devotees, including Hari Hara Kala Bhavan, Mahaboob College, CMR Shopping Mall, Old Jail Khana grounds, and Nallagutta GHMC grounds, among others.
