Traffic Congestion on NH 65 As People Return to Hyd
Traffic on the Vijayawada-Hyderabad lane of NH-65 was extremely heavy, while the Hyderabad-Vijayawada lane remained normal.
Nalgonda: Traffic on National Highway No. 65 from Chityal to Choutuppal moved bumper to bumper on Sunday as people returned to Hyderabad from their native places after three consecutive holidays.
Heavy congestion was reported at the Korlapahad toll plaza in Nalgonda district and the Panthangi toll plaza in Yadadri-Bhongir district, where vehicles took 15 to 20 minutes to pass through. Due to the traffic jams, it was taking nearly two and a half hours for vehicles to cover the 25-km stretch to Choutuppal.

Police swung into action and began regulating traffic flow at Chityal, where construction work on a flyover bridge further added to the congestion.
