Traffic Chaos in Banjara Hills as KBR Park One-Way System Begins

The diversions were part of traffic management measures linked to the ongoing H-CITI works, which include construction of a steel flyover and an underpass around Jubilee Hills checkpost, KBR park entrance and Mugdha junction.

Hyderabad: Chaos prevailed in Banjara Hills and its surrounding areas following enforcement of one-way traffic from KBR Park on the first day from Tuesday.

In spite of educating people on the enforcement of one-way traffic rules, a large number of motorists faced problems in adhering to norms resulting in the delay in reaching the destination. Traffic came to a standstill from KBR park to Telangana Bhavan in the morning.

There was confusion in changing the lane from KBR park to Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital & Research Institute in Banjara Hills resulting in chaos. Motorists complained that it took 27 minutes for them to reach Agrasen junction from KBR park.

The police officials said the situation became normal as the day progressed as it is the first of enforcement of the one-way traffic. It would obviously take time for motorists to adjust to the new rule, they said.

Follow traffic signs and instructions. Do not make unauthorised turns or lane changes, they said.
