Traditional Rites Mark Installation of Pagididda Raju, Govinda Raju at Medaram

Priests associated with the Sammakka-Saralamma deities, along with the families of Pagididda Raju and Govinda Raju, completed the traditional puja ceremonies.

Hyderabad: The ceremonial installation of Pagididda Raju and Govinda Raju on the gadde at Medaram, Tadvai mandal, Mulugu district, took place on Wednesday, adhering to ancient tribal customs. The traditional rites began with the priests installing Govinda Raju at 6 am, followed by Pagididda Raju at 9.45 am. The event saw the attendance of several key officials, including minister Seethakka, District Collector Diwakara, SP Sudhir Ramnath Kekan, and Jatara Executive Officer Veeraswamy.

To guarantee the seamless execution of the ceremonies, authorities enforced stringent security protocols, limiting devotees' access to the gadde area. Priests associated with the Sammakka-Saralamma deities, along with the families of Pagididda Raju and Govinda Raju, completed the traditional puja ceremonies.
