Warangal: Principal secretary (Endowments) Shailaja Ramaiyer has appreciated Jayashankar Bhupalpally district collector Rahul Sharma and superintendent of police Kiran Khare and Kaleshwaram temple authorities for smooth conduct of the ongoing Saraswati Pushkaralu over the past eight days.
Inspecting arrangements and holding a review meeting with top officials, she advised officials to increase effective coordination among various departments during the upcoming four days, as the Saraswati Pushkaralu are expected to witness a heavy rush of devotees.
Shailaja Ramaiyer appreciated officials for their immediate and efficient response on Wednesday after the unexpected heavy rainfall at Kaleshwaram, which led to muddy roads and traffic problems. However, officials ensured free movement of vehicles and people.
The principal secretary directed officials to focus on key areas, such as safety, medical services, transportation, drinking water, sanitation and electricity issues, which may occur due to rains. “The efforts made so far are commendable and deserve appreciation,” she stated.

Long queues could be seen at the temple entrances, with devotees having to wait for over two hours to have darshan of the presiding deities.
Officials and staff kept reminding devotees to follow the stipulated guidelines for a peaceful and spiritually fulfilling darshan. Thus the eighth day of the Pushkaralu also passed off smoothly.
