Telugu Film Strike Ends
18-day standoff between the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce and the Telugu Film Industry Employees Federation came to an end today.

The 18-day standoff between the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce and the Telugu Film Industry Employees Federation came to an end today. “We are calling off the strike,” announced Anil Vallabhaneni, President of the Federation. “We are thankful to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy garu for taking the initiative to end the stalemate, as he is keen on promoting Hyderabad as a major film hub.”
The Federation’s primary demand for a wage hike has been accepted. Vallabhaneni explained, “We held long discussions and understood the plight of the Telugu film industry. Finally, we have secured a 22% wage hike in two slabs. For wages below ₹2,000, there will be a 15% hike in the first year, 2.5% in the second year, and 5% in the third year. Workers earning between ₹2,000 and ₹5,000 will get a 7.5% hike in the first year, followed by 5% in the second year and another 5% in the third year. We are happy with this outcome.”
Senior producer Dil Raju urged harmony between both sides. “Producers and workers should work in tandem to make Hyderabad the film capital of India. We are grateful to CM Revanth Reddy garu for directing officials to resolve the deadlock. Both producers and the Federation have shown understanding of each other’s issues, and the stalemate has finally ended. We also thank Additional Labour Commissioner Gangadhar garu for his support,” he said.
The Telangana government will now form a panel with producers and Federation members to address pending concerns within the next two months. Vallabhaneni added, “We have agreed to 1.5 call sheets for two second Sundays, along with certain other call sheet benefits. The four unions will decide their respective timings, and the newly formed panel will take up any remaining issues.”
