To End Drought, Nagarkurnool Villagers Exhume and Burn Buried Body on Tantrik's Advice
The villagers brought in an earthmover and exhumed the body

Hyderabad: Superstitious villagers exhumed the body of a man and cremated it, in the hope that their act would bring rainfall in Nagarkurnool district, according to the police on Sunday. The incident took place in Kodonipally of Padara mandal of the district. Police said the man had died three months ago and his family members had buried the body.
Going by superstition, and advised by tantriks, the villagers brought in an earthmover and exhumed the body. The villagers then piled up firewood to form a pyre, doused it with petrol and cremated the body. Police said they had detained some of those who took part in the act. They reportedly told the police that cremating the body would bring rain that would help their drying crops. Police said the case was under probe and names of the suspects would be disclosed after a complete investigation.
