TNGOs organises blood donation camp in Hyd

The Telangana Non-Gazetted Officers' (TNGOs) Central Union organised a mega blood donation camp at the Gruhakalpa complex in the city to commemorating Mahatma Jyotirao Phule’s birth anniversary on Friday and Dr B.R. Ambedkar’s upcoming birth anniversary on April 14.

Hyderabad:The Telangana Non-Gazetted Officers' (TNGOs) Central Union organised a mega blood donation camp at the Gruhakalpa complex in the city to commemorating Mahatma Jyotirao Phule’s birth anniversary on Friday and Dr B.R. Ambedkar’s upcoming birth anniversary on April 14.

The event was spearheaded by TNGOs leaders Maram Jagdeeshwar and Dr S.M. Hussaini (Mujeeb). The initiative saw enthusiastic participation from government employees across various departments, who came together to donate blood as an act of social solidarity.

Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar lauded the initiative, stating, “Dr Ambedkar’s life was dedicated to the upliftment of the marginalised and the creation of a just society. This camp reflects his spirit of compassion and service.”

The camp was conducted in collaboration with MNJ Hospital, Osmania General Hospital (OGH), King Koti, Institute of Preventive Medicine (IPM), and the Thalassemia & Sickle Cell Society blood banks. Medical teams ensured thorough health screenings, safe collection of blood, and proper post-donation care.

The TNGOs Union said the donated blood would be made available to patients in need, ensuring that the legacies of Mahatma Phule and Dr Ambedkar continued to inspire collective efforts toward social welfare.
