Ticket-Holders Only: Hyderabad Police’s Strict Messi Match Rule

2,500 police personnel across the stadium and surrounding areas will be deployed

Hyderabad: Hyderabad is gearing up for one of its biggest sporting nights as police have activated an extensive security grid ahead of the Messi GOAT India Tour football match scheduled for the 13th at 7 pm in Uppal Stadium. The event, which will feature global football legend Lionel Messi alongside Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is expected to draw massive crowds and global attention.

Rachakonda Police Commissioner Sudheer Babu announced that all security and logistical preparations are complete, with a deployment of nearly 2,500 police personnel across the stadium and surrounding areas. Authorities have urged citizens to avoid unnecessary congestion and ensure that only those with valid tickets come to the venue. To streamline traffic and crowd flow, parking has been arranged at 34 designated locations around the stadium.

Messi’s brief yet high-profile Hyderabad schedule is also locked in. He is set to land at Shamshabad Airport at 4 pm on the 13th, after which he will head directly to Falaknuma Palace for a special programme. From there, he will proceed to Uppal for the exhibition match before returning to Falaknuma for an overnight stay. Police have already finalised the travel routes from the airport to Falaknuma and onward to Uppal as the city readies itself for a once-in-a-generation sporting spectacle.
