The car, driven by Sohaib from Maharashtra, was caught in the strong flood currents: Reports

KARIMNAGAR: Three women are feared missing after their car was swept away by floodwaters while returning from a marriage function on Sunday night. The incident took place at Udhiri village, about 30 km from Deglur in Maharashtra’s Nanded district.
The missing women, Afreena, Haseena, and Sameena, are residents of T.R. Nagar in Jagtial district. They had hired a car along with Sohail, a resident of Armoor, and were returning from a village 15 km from Bodhan in Nizamabad district when tragedy struck.
The car, driven by Sohaib from Maharashtra, was caught in the strong flood currents. While Sohail and driver Sohaib managed to escape safely, the three women were swept away.
Family members were alerted around midnight through a frantic call from Afreena to her husband, Saleem. In tears, he recounted that she told him their car was being washed away and pleaded with him to take care of their small children. Moments later, her phone switched off.
The incident has cast a pall of gloom over T.R. Nagar, where locals are deeply concerned for the children. Families of the missing women have appealed to authorities to intervene and coordinate with the Maharashtra government to step up search efforts and bring the women home.
