Three Held With 3 Kg Ganja In Kalluru
Police said Habeeb, along with Chandu and Ramesh, procured the contraband from a supplier in Malkangiri, Odisha, with the intention of selling it in Kalluru at higher prices for quick profits.

Nalgonda: Kalluru police on Tuesday arrested three persons and seized three kg ganja worth about Rs 1.5 lakh from their possession at Perivancha Road.
The accused were identified as Sheik Habeeb and Boddu Chandu, both natives of Kalluru, and Tejavath Ramesh of Manuguru in Khammam district.
According to the police, Habeeb was arrested in 2025 for allegedly procuring ganja from Odisha and selling it to addicts in Kalluru. After securing bail and being released from jail, he worked at a local hostel for a few months before allegedly returning to the illegal ganja trade.
Police said Habeeb, along with Chandu and Ramesh, procured the contraband from a supplier in Malkangiri, Odisha, with the intention of selling it in Kalluru at higher prices for quick profits.
Acting on credible information, the police intercepted the trio's motorcycle on Perivancha Road while they were transporting the contraband. During the search, officers recovered three kilograms of ganja and arrested the accused. The seized contraband was valued at approximately Rs 1.5 lakh. A case has been registered and further investigation is underway.
