Thousands Join Milad-Un-Nabi Procession In Nizamabad
Shabbir Ali, Mahesh Kumar Goud Call For Unity And Communal Harmony
Thousands of Muslims, youth, Congress leaders and workers took part in Milad-un-Nabi celebrations in Nizamabad on Wednesday. The procession began from Quilla Road and passed through the city, with participants joining the celebrations in large numbers.
Government adviser Mohammed Ali Shabbir and TPCC president and MLC B. Mahesh Kumar Goud later attended programmes at Jubilee Hotel on Quilla Road and a public meeting near Quilla Road and Nehru Park.
Shabbir Ali called upon people to rise above differences of caste, religion, language and region and protect Telangana’s tradition of communal harmony and Ganga-Jamuni tehzeeb.
He said the teachings of Prophet Mohammed, including peace, compassion, patience, brotherhood and concern for fellow human beings, were relevant to society as a whole. He urged people to respect one another and support those in difficulty.
Mahesh Kumar Goud said the Prophet’s message of peace, brotherhood and humanity remained relevant and called for greater mutual respect and unity among communities.
Shabbir Ali said the state government was committed to the welfare and development of all sections of society without discrimination. He also said the Congress stood for equal respect and opportunities for all citizens.
Rythu Commission member Gadugu Gangadhar, Urdu Academy chairman Taher, NUDA chairman Kesha Venu, Tappers Association chairman B. Shekhar Goud, senior leaders Narala Ratnakar, Javed Akram, Quddus and Haroon, corporators, co-option members and Milad committee members were present.
