Thieves Break Into Export Office, Flee With 1 kg Gold Jewellery
Burglars entered an export office in Banjara Hills through a washroom window and escaped with over a kilogram of gold jewellery.
Unidentified thieves broke out into an export office in Banjara Hills and fled with around one kilogram of gold jewellery while the owner was in Surat, Gujarat.
The office manager lodged a police complaint stating that the thieves stole necklaces and two pairs of diamond studded earrings, weighing a total of 1,028 grams, kept in the office locker, Banjara Hills police said.
CLUES teams and fingerprint experts collected evidence and found that the assailants broke the washroom window and entered the office, a police officer said.
“We are waiting for the owner to return from Gujarat,” a police officer said. “We suspect that the theft took place on Saturday night and the incident came to light on Sunday night after the manager noticed that the jewellery was stolen,” he said. A special police team has been formed and is examining CCTV footage, he added.
