No Plans of Theatre Shutdown, Confirms TFCC
He urged media to avoid trusting unworthy sources and keep trust in resolving skills of chamber.

Hyderabad: Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce has ruled out closure of theatres from June 1.
"No such plans and theatres will run as usual", says Damodar Prasad, secretary of Telugu film chamber of commerce in a presser held on Saturday. "Today, we had a meeting with producers, exhibitors and distributors from the two Telugu states and it ended in a positive note," he adds. He admitted that the chamber received representations from various sectors and would be resolving issues amicably in the days to come. "We intend to from a 3 member committee to address these issues and would resolving them with in a time line and arrive at a resolution which is acceptable to all sectors in the chamber, because all sectors are interlinked, "he points out.
He stated that members of Telugu film producers council, Telangana Film Chamber of Commerce and Telugu film chamber participated in the meeting today and resolved to move forward.
"In our upcoming executive committee meeting to be held on May 30, , we will be announcing members for the 3 member panel which would take issues into consideration and come up with a amicable formula", he adds.
He reiterated that closing of theatres from June 1 are baseless rumours being spread around by vested interest. "Telugu Film Chamber is capable of addressing all woes and we don't need support or guidance from outsiders. We are truly binded and all of us want to survive in the industry. Hence, we on our own would find our way out and lay a road map to sustain in the industry, he informs.

"We have found solutions for many problems faced by our members and we would continue our efforts with a positive mindset. We will discuss with both governments in Ap and Telangana and get our pending matters resolved. Telugu Film Chamber is the apex body in the industry and would solve our issues," concludes Damodar Prasad.
Earlier, exhibitors from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh sought percentage module or share in box office collections, over rental system. Few exhibitors even threatened to shut down theatres but bigwigs of the industry averted it and promised to hold discussions with exhibitors without closing theatres.
