Hyderabad:TGSRTC said it had operated 4,650 special buses on last week for those celebrating Rakshabandhan day. Along with the regular services, TGSRTC ran 407 specials on August 7, 960 on August 8, 1,570 on August 9, Rakshabandhan day, 781 on August 10 and 932 buses on August 11.
Except for the special buses, normal fares were applicable on the remaining buses. Currently, the corporation has more than 9,500 buses.
The TGSRTC has clarified that there was no truth in the campaign that TGSRTC has increased ticket fares for Rakhi Pournami. It clarified that as per the state government's order, fares had been revised only in the special buses that ran from August 7 to 11.
