TGSPDCL AE, Two Irrigation Department Employees Held In Two Bribe Cases
The ACB officials recovered bribe amount from the three officers

Hyderabad: Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) here on Wednesday caught Kondaiah, an Assistant Engineer (Operations) of Telangana Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (TGSPDCL) at Ghanpur mandal in Wanaparthy district when he demanded and accepted a bribe of Rs.10,000.
Kondaiah demanded bribe for showing official favour to give power connection to Distribution Transformer (DTR) which was erected at Tirumala Agro Industries at Malkapur in Ghanpur mandal in Wanaparthy, the ACB officials said adding that the accused officer performed his public duty improperly and dishonestly.
In a separate case, Dumpala Sridhar Babu, a Superintendent working in the office of Irrigation department in Sulthanabad of Peddapally district, was caught by the ACB at his office when he demanded and accepted Rs.20,000 as bribe from the complainant.
The bribe was demanded through his colleague Mahadesini Suresh, a Senior Assistant posted in Sulthanabad for showing an official favour to prepare pending HPL bill for 88 days of the complainant.
The ACB officials recovered the tainted amount from the arrested officers in the two cases and produced them before the court concerned in Nampally and Karimnagar, respectively. The accused were later remanded to judicial custody.
The details of the two complainants were withheld for security reasons.
