TGSCPCR Chairperson, Members Visit Gulzar Houz Fire Accident Site
The TGSCPCR emphasized the urgent need for disaster risk reduction measures in densely populated areas

Hyderabad: The Chairperson and Members of the Telangana State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (TGSCPCR) on Tuesday the fire incident site at Gulzar Houz near Charminar here.
The Chairperson Kothakota Seetha Dayakar Reddy expressed deep sorrow and extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. Speaking to media, the Chairperson called the incident “shocking and deeply distressing,” as innocent children died in the tragedy.
The Commission emphasized the urgent need for disaster risk reduction measures, particularly in densely populated and high-risk areas. The Chairperson stressed the importance of implementing preventive mechanisms to avert such fire accidents in the future for the safeguard of the children.
The Commission reiterated its commitment to safeguarding the rights and well-being of children and called upon the departments concerned to take swift action to ensure accountability and safety. It will continue to monitor the situation and provide necessary support in coordination with child protection units and disaster response teams.
Apart from Seetha Dayakar Reddy, the Commission members - Kancherla Vandana Goud, Maripally Chandana, B. Aparna, Gogula Saritha, Premalatha Agarwal and B. Vachan Kumar also visited the spot.
