Telangana’s First Man-Made Beach Coming Up At Kothwalguda
TSTDC chairman Patel Ramesh Reddy said the project will feature floating villas, luxury hotels and adventure sports, including sailing, bungee jumping, skating and water sports.

Hyderabad: Telangana is set to develop its first man-made beach at Kothwalguda, with a detailed project report under preparation. Spread across 35 acres, the beach will be built at an estimated cost of Rs 225 crore by the Telangana State Tourism Development Corporation (TSTDC).
TSTDC chairman Patel Ramesh Reddy said the project will feature floating villas, luxury hotels and adventure sports, including sailing, bungee jumping, skating and water sports. Other attractions will include a wave pool, fountains, theatres, restaurants, shacks, cycling tracks and play zones for children.
Officials expressed confidence that the project will become a global attraction and scale up Hyderabad’s tourism profile. “This will not be just water, sand and shacks. It is envisioned as a project that will place Hyderabad on the global tourism map,” said a senior TSTDC official.
The location was chosen due to land availability and easy access via the Outer Ring Road. At present, the nearest beach to Hyderabad is Suryalanka in Andhra Pradesh, 320 km away. Telangana’s first man-made beach will be just 20 km from Gachibowli.
