TGGENCO Warns Staff Against Maha Dharna

The directive comes after the Telangana Power Employees Joint Action Committee announced that it would organise a ‘Maha Dharna’ at Vidyut Soudha on Wednesday.

Hyderabad: TGGenco has directed the heads of all power‑generating stations and functional heads at Vidyut Soudha to inform employees and artisans under their control not to participate in the proposed ‘Maha Dharna’ on Wednesday, as a ban on strikes is currently in force.

The directive comes after the Telangana Power Employees Joint Action Committee announced that it would organise a ‘Maha Dharna’ at Vidyut Soudha on Wednesday.

In a statement, genco director (HR and IR) S. V. Kumar Raju instructed officials to initiate appropriate action against employees and artisans who violate the orders. He said Genco had issued orders on July 27 prohibiting strikes in all its services for six months.
