TGGDA Flags Salary Delays For TVVP Doctors, Seeks Bill To Bring Body Under DSHS
Doctors seek legislation to ensure timely pay under TVVP system

Hyderabad: The Telangana Government Doctors Association (TGGDA) expressed strong dissatisfaction over continued delays in payment of salaries to doctors working under the Telangana Vaidya Vidhana Parishad (TVVP), stating that several doctors had not received their salaries so far.
In a statement, the association said that when the Congress government assumed office, government doctors had welcomed the change with the hope that long-pending issues, including salary delays, would be resolved. Instead, it said, the situation has worsened, with hundreds of doctors forced to wait every month for their pay.
The TGGDA termed the recurring delays as a clear administrative failure and said the corporation system under which TVVP functions had failed to ensure timely salary disbursement. It asserted that the solution was to bring TVVP under the directorate of secondary health services (DSHS) via legislation, said TGGDA president Dr Narahari Bapanpally.
The association also sought a statutory framework to ensure regular and timely salary payments, added secretary general Dr Lalu Prasad Rathod. The association urged the government to put in place a system that guarantees credit of salaries to TVVP doctors on the first day of every month.
