TGCHE Flagship Journal Gets Print ISSN; Next Issue To Focus on AI in Higher Education
TGCHE gains global publication recognition as it expands its academic reach and visibility

Hyderabad: The Telangana Journal of Higher Education (TJHE), the flagship journal of the Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE), secured a print ISSN, giving its print edition a formal international publication identifier. The ISSN International Centre has assigned Print ISSN 3139-292X to the journal, which already has e-ISSN 3108-0693, TGCHE said.
TJHE has completed one-and-a-half years of publication as a peer-reviewed, biannual journal. Its three issues so far have covered Technology and Higher Education; Internationalisation of Higher Education; and Universities in the Twenty-First Century: Renewal, Reforms and Roadmaps. Its next issue will focus on Artificial Intelligence and Higher Education, examining a subject that is increasingly relevant to teaching, research and university systems, Prof. V. Balakista Reddy, Chairman of TGCHE and Editor-in-Chief of TJHE, said.
The journal is now included in ROAD (Directory of Open Access Scholarly Resources), a global service supported by UNESCO. It is also discoverable through Google Scholar, ResearchGate and Academia.edu, and is listed with Index Copernicus, according to TGCHE. The council was working towards inclusion in major academic databases such as Scopus and Web of Science.
Prof. Rajeshwar Mittapalli is the co-editor of the journal while Dr Vasundhara Dhanvantri and Dr Christopher Rollason are associate editors. TGCHE said the journal is intended to provide a platform for researchers, academics, policymakers and higher-education practitioners to discuss research, policy and changes shaping universities.
