The Telangana Board of Intermediate Education has made the submission of an anti-drug affidavit compulsory for inter admissions 2026.

Hyderabad: The Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (TGBIE) on Monday announced that an ‘Anti-Drug Affidavit’ will be mandatory for both students and parents during intermediate junior college admissions for the 2026-27 academic year. TGBIE released the admission schedule, with the process commencing on May 12.
All principals have been instructed to implement the mandatory affidavit during admissions. As per the admission schedule released, both students and their parents must submit the affidavit during the admission process, and admissions would be granted only after submission of the document.
The last date for receipt of applications is May 31. Classes will commence on June 1, and the deadline for concluding first-phase admissions is June 30.
Principals can make provisional admissions on the basis of internet marks memos. Admissions should be made based on the GPA obtained in the qualifying examination as per the guidelines, the board said.
Principals were instructed not to conduct any test for admission, and unaided junior colleges are directed to make admissions only up to the sanctioned sections and up to the ceiling strength of 88 in each section.
The TGBIE asked parents and students to take admission in only affiliated junior colleges, which are listed on their official websites.
