Hyderabad:The Telangana Waqf Board on Monday formally handed over the records pertaining to the AP State Waqf Board, which had remained with the Telangana Waqf Board, following the bifurcation of the erstwhile state of Andhra Pradesh. These include 3,503 Waqf files, 4,050 survey commissioner reports and two gazette notifications.
The records were handed over by Mohammed Asadullah, chief executive officer, TG Waqf Board to his AP counterpart Khazi Yousuf Basha in the presence of Syed Azmatullah Husseni, chairman, TG Waqf Board.
According to officials, the transfer of records has been carried out in compliance with the government’s directions and the relevant official communications issued in this regard. The records were duly identified, segregated and verified before being handed over to the authorised representatives of the AP State Waqf Board under proper acknowledgment.
Husseni stated that the Telangana Waqf Board has extended its full cooperation in completing the process and expressed satisfaction that the issue, which had remained pending since the bifurcation of the state, has now been resolved in an orderly and transparent manner.
