TG Govt Signed MoUs Worth Rs 2.45 Lakh Crore in 16 Months
Investment plans will create 80,500 jobs in the state

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy-led Congress government in Telangana has secured investments worth Rs 2.45 lakh crore through international engagements over the past 16 months. These investments are expected to generate approximately 80,500 jobs in the state.
The latest milestone was marked by the Chief Minister’s successful week-long tour of Japan, from which he returned to Hyderabad on Wednesday evening. The delegation, which departed on April 16, concluded its visit on Tuesday with a stop in Hiroshima. Revanth Reddy landed in Hyderabad on Wednesday after transiting through Dubai.
The Japan visit resulted in MoUs with leading Japanese firms, amounting to Rs 12,062 crore in investments. These are projected to create around 30,500 jobs. The visit not only focused on investment prospects but also strengthened Telangana’s international relations and highlighted the state’s industry-friendly environment.
The Japan tour is the latest in a series of global outreach efforts by the CM Revanth-led Congress government. In January this year, during the World Economic Forum (WEF) at Davos, Telangana attracted investments worth Rs 1.78 lakh crore. Before that, the delegation toured the United States, South Korea and Singapore between August 2024 and January 2025, bringing in an additional Rs 14,900 crore.
In the Davos 2024 summit alone, the state signed MoUs worth Rs 40,232 crore with global companies. Officials recently briefed Revanth Reddy that 18 projects were taken up under these agreements, with 17 already underway and 10 progressing rapidly. Seven other projects are in different stages of completion.
Since assuming office in December 2023, the Revanth Reddy-led government has made concerted efforts to position Telangana as a premier investment destination. The cumulative investment inflow of Rs 2,44,962 crore across various sectors reflects this proactive approach, alongside the significant job creation figure, say official sources in the Chief Minister's Office.
