TG Govt Forms IAS Officers Panel to Probe Land Irregularities of KCR, KTR, Harish and BRS Leaders

Hyderabad: The state government has constituted a four-member committee of IAS officers to enquire into irregularities concerning land parcels in several villages, including those linked to former chief minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and former ministers K.T. Rama Rao, T. Harish Rao, G. Jagadish Reddy, Gangula Kamalakar and MLA Palla Rajeshwar Reddy.
The committee was constituted through GO Ms. No. 134 issued by Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju on Thursday, following the September 16 Assembly discussion on issues relating to land placed in the prohibited list under Section 22-A of the Registration Act. The government said the discussion had brought to light grave irregularities requiring further administrative action. The panel will examine violations of statutes, Acts, Rules and government orders, fix responsibility and recommend appropriate action.
Commissioner of collegiate education A. Sridevasena, will head the panel, with special secretary (registrations and stamps) Rajeevgandhi Hanumanthu as convener and Jangaon collector Sandeep Kumar Jha, as member. The collector of the district concerned will also be a member for matters relating to villages in that district.
The 16 issues listed for inquiry include land belonging to K. Chandrashekar Rao, his family members and associates at Erravelli and Venkatapur villages in Markook mandal of Siddipet district; land belonging to former minister Harish Rao, his family members and associates adjacent to Ranganayakasagar reservoir at Ramancha in Chinnakodur mandal; and the purchase of assigned land in Survey No. 271 by Harish Rao's father-in-law M. Hanumantha Rao at Velikatta in Kondapak mandal.
The panel will examine irregularities in Mallannasagar land acquisition, based on a complaint by the late former BRS MLA S. Ramalinga Reddy, covering Etigadda Kishtapur, Pallepahad, Rampur and Tukkapur; land of Satabisha Agro and other companies and individuals purchased by family members and associates of BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao at Janwada in Shankarpalle mandal; and land belonging to former minister G. Jagadishwar Reddy, his family members and associates at Maddur in Shabad mandal.
It will also inquire into land belonging to Harish Rao, his family members and associates at Aziznagar in Moinabad mandal; purchase and illegal occupation of assigned land by former MLA P. ‘Pilot’ Rohith Reddy at Aziznagar; irregular purchase and occupation of government land by former minister Gangula Kamalakar and others at Bahadurguda in Shamshabad mandal; and irregular purchase of Bhoodan land by MLA Palla Rajeshwar Reddy and others at Vattinagulapally in Gandipet mandal.
The inquiry will further cover purchase of land at Shankara Hills by Gangula Kamalakar and others at Vattinagulapally, purchase of Bhoodan land at Thimmapur in Kandukur mandal, and regularisation of lease land of former nominated MLC Elvin Stephenson at Zeera Lands in Secunderabad.
The committee will examine abuse of the Dharani module and other procedures by Raj Hitech Farms Pvt. Ltd., Raj Poultry & Plantation Pvt. Ltd., Raj Poultry & Agriculture Farms Pvt. Ltd. and Manaviha Breeders LLP, represented by M. Hanumantha Rao, M. Suman and T. Mahesh Rao and their associates, at Gunded in Balanagar mandal of Mahbubnagar district.
The remaining issues relate to irregular purchase of assigned land and allotment of government land in Rajanna Sircilla district, including Sardapur, Laxmipur and Thangallapally, and irregular receipt of compensation and R&R packages relating to the Mid-Manair reservoir by Joginapally Ravinder Rao and J. Sowmya. The latter inquiry covers Boinpalli and other mandals and villages acquired for the Mid-Manair reservoir, including Manwada.
The committee can examine violations involving government, ceiling-surplus, assigned, Jagir, Bhoodan, Inam and forest lands, besides land acquisition, R&R, water bodies and catchment areas and land records. It can requisition records, documents, data, personnel and other assistance from government departments, collectors, local bodies and other authorities. It has been directed to submit its report expeditiously and furnish interim reports on specific issues. The government may also refer other such issues to the committee from time to time for inquiry.
