TG BJP Welcomes Debate on Op Sindoor, Questions Oppn’s Intent
Protecting national interests is a shared responsibility and supported the Opposition’s right to seek clarifications, provided both Houses of Parliament function without disruption : BJP chief spokesperson N.V. Subhash

HYDERABAD: The Telangana Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has welcomed the Congress-led Opposition's decision to participate in the 16-hour debate on Operation Sindoor, starting Monday, but expressed caution regarding their intentions.
State BJP chief spokesperson N.V. Subhash emphasised that protecting national interests is a shared responsibility and supported the Opposition’s right to seek clarifications, provided both Houses of Parliament function without disruption.
Subhash criticised the Congress for giving weight to former US President Donald Trump’s inconsistent claims about "brokered peace" and "downed fighter jets," questioning why the party repeatedly distrusts India’s armed forces and leadership. He contrasted this with the past, recalling how Atal Behari Vajpayee had praised Indira Gandhi following India’s victory in the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War, saying that such statesmanship and patriotism are missing in today’s Congress.
He condemned the Opposition for focusing on tarnishing India’s global image rather than defending its sovereignty, stating that national interest must rise above petty politics. Subhash suggested that the Opposition’s conduct reflects a fear of losing the upcoming Assembly elections, and said that the public expects accountability and strength, not political theatrics.
Highlighting India's assertive military posture under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Subhash pointed to recent decisive leadership and successful operations. Calling the upcoming debate a litmus test, he challenged the Opposition to engage with the facts with open minds instead of resorting to denial and disruption, adding: "The country is watching."
