Telangana BJP Launches ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Campaign

HYDERABAD: BJP Telangana president N. Ramchander Rao outlined the party’s plans to celebrate Independence Day with ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ and ‘Tiranga Yatra’, to foster national pride and unite citizens in commemorating India’s freedom struggle.
Speaking to reporters, Ramchander Rao said the Centre had spearheaded the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign for five years, encouraging every household to hoist the Tricolour by August 15. Marking the sixth year, the BJP was preparing for events across Hyderabad and the state.
The party formed a committee led by state vice-president Dr Manohar Reddy. Committee members include MLA Palvai Harish Babu, party spokesperson Rani Rudrama, BJYM state president Chevella Mahender and MLC Malka Komarayya, who will oversee programmes statewide.
The party plans Tiranga rallies in all mandals, culminating just before Independence Day and flag hoisting in about 14 lakh homes. A rally at PVNR Marg (Necklace Road), Hyderabad, featuring around 15,000 college students on August 14, Ramchander Rao said.
BJP will hold exhibitions and hall meetings on August 14, observing Partition Wounds Remembrance Day. Rao said the Tiranga Yatra was aimed at educating future generations on the sacrifices made during the freedom movement. He appealed to people of all political parties, castes and regions to join the Tiranga Yatra and Har Ghar Tiranga campaigns.
