Tension Prevails in Miryalaguda Ahead of KTR’s Meeting
Former MLA N. Bhaskar Rao and several party leaders participated in the rally.
Nalgonda:Tense situation prevailed in Miryalaguda on Wednesday as the BRS and Congress put up flex banners highlighting each other’s alleged failures ahead of a BRS meeting to be attended by party working president K. Taraka Rama Rao.
BRS functionaries took out a rally with 420-feet-long flex banners from the party office in Reddy Colony to the bus stand centre. Former MLA N. Bhaskar Rao and several party leaders participated in the rally.
Bhaskar Rao said the Congress government had failed to fulfil promises made to people during the 2023 Assembly elections. He alleged that the government had deceived farmers, women, youth, senior citizens, employees and the poor by promising six guarantees containing 420 promises.
In response, Congress members put up flex banners at major junctions in the town, highlighting the alleged failure of the previous BRS government to fulfil its poll promises during its nine-year rule.
Congress workers reportedly planned to stage a protest at the BRS meeting at NSP Ground, which was scheduled to be attended by K. Taraka Rama Rao. The developments led to a tense atmosphere in the town.
In Nalgonda, BRS members took out a rally from the party district office in Venkateshwara Colony to Clock Tower centre and staged a protest as part of the week-long programmes announced by the party.
In Suryapet, BRS members took out a protest rally from the old market yard to the new bus stand via Potti Sriramulu Centre.
