Hyderabad: A Hyderabad-native student died in a car accident in Chicago. The victim, Sreeja Varma, 23, from Medchal-Malkajgiri’s Gandi Maisamma, was pursuing her higher education in Chicago.
Reports stated that Sreeja recently completed her Masters, and was planning on joining a job in Chicago. On Monday, she was walking to a nearby restaurant to have dinner when a truck rammed into her from behind.
Sreeja’s younger sister Shreya had also recently travelled to the US to pursue her Master’s degree. Her parents Srinivas Varma and Hemalatha requested Telugu associations in the United States to help repatriate Sreeja’s body back home for her final rites.
