A man was reportedly murdered during the Arunachalam Giri Pradakshina in Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu. The deceased has been identified as Vidya Sagar, a 32-year-old resident of Soundarapuram in Yadadri district.
Two persons identified as Guganeswaran (22) and Tamilarasan (25), allegedly demanded Rs. 500 from Vidya Sagar, and upon his refusal, slit his throat before fleeing the scene.
Fellow devotees rushed the critically injured Vidya Sagar to a nearby hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
The police have arrested the two suspects.
