Nalgonda: Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Sunday laid the foundation stone for a Rs 128 crore underground drainage project in Madhira, Khammam district and said the state government is committed to improve the living conditions in urban and rural areas.
Addressing officials and residents at the ceremony, Bhatti said that real progress must be measured by improvements in people’s daily lives. “Our plans for infrastructure and welfare schemes are designed not only to build amenities but also to reduce household expenditures and uplift poor families across Telangana,” he said.
Highlighting public health benefits, the Deputy CM noted that an underground drainage network will curb the spread of seasonal diseases by ensuring greater cleanliness in urban areas. He directed municipal authorities to conduct regular inspections to maintain high construction quality and pledged that the Madhira works would be completed within two years.
