Telangana to Hold Special Assembly Session to Enhance BC Reservations
A Cabinet meeting will be scheduled to finalise the drafts before they are introduced in the Assembly.

Hyderabad:The state government has decided to convene a special session of the Assembly between March 1 and 5 to pass three key legislations aimed at enhancing reservations to 42 per cent for Backward Classes (BCs) communities in local bodies as well as education and employment, and providing legal backing to the sub-categorisation of Scheduled Castes (SCs).
Sources revealed that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy made the decision on Wednesday to call the special session.
The government is in the process of drafting these three bills. A Cabinet meeting will be scheduled to finalise the drafts before they are introduced in the Assembly. Once passed, the bills will be forwarded to the Centre. The Budget Session is set to take place in the third week of March.
