Telangana Tahsildars Demand Resolution of Pending Issues

Hyderabad:The Telangana Tahsildars Association (TGTA) has sought the resolution of their pending problems and speeding up of their promotions. They sought immediate repatriation of employees who were transferred from their native districts during the Lok Sabha elections in may.
At a meeting held at the CCLA (chief commissioner of land administration) office, the TGTA expressed happiness at the promotion of 33 deputy collectors from special grade to selection grade, and senior assistants to deputy tahsildars. It further sought clarity on the promotions in the Charminar zone.
The TGTA state executive meeting was attended by association president S. Ramulu and secretary general Poolsingh Chouhan, treasurer Sreenivas Sankar Rao and women wing president Radha.
The other demands made were payment of pending vehicle bills, increase in payment to hired vehicles from `33,000 to `50,000 and steps to halt attacks on revenue officers.
