Telangana Seeks Centre's Approval for Middle East Patient Flights to Hyderabad: CM

On the launch of the group’s fifth hospital in the city, Upasana Konidela, vice-chairperson, CSR, announced that 10,000 free health screening check-ups will be conducted for the Nanakramguda community every Sunday.

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy affirmed that the state government proposed to construct a state-of-the-art Health City in the proposed Bharat Future city. He said the state government had requested the Centre to facilitate direct air connectivity from West Asia to Hyderabad for patients in the Gulf nations intending to seek medical treatment here.

Speaking after inaugurating a 400-bed facility of Apollo Hospitals at Financial District on Monday, he said talks were in progress with the Airports Authority of India (AAI) to create a green channel system to facilitate the swift transfer of patients arriving at the Shamshabad airport to hospitals.

Revanth Reddy hailed Apollo Hospitals founder Dr Prathap C. Reddy as a pioneer. Health minister Damodar Rajanarsimha and legislator Arekapudi Gandhi were present.

Dr Prathap Reddy told Deccan Chronicle: “When we build a hospital, we are building far more than infrastructure, we are building hope. This institution is rooted in gratitude for the countless lives that have allowed us to learn, serve, and grow. It is our way of giving back, by creating a space where every patient is treated with compassion, every caregiver is empowered with the best tools, and every life is valued with dignity.”
