Telangana School Education Dept To Hold Statewide PTM Today
This month's PTM theme is "Partnering with Parents, Powering Every Child's Learning."
Hyderabad: The Telangana School Education Department and Samagra Shiksha will conduct a statewide monthly parent-teacher meeting (PTM) on September 19th across all govt schools, local body schools, Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBVs) and Telangana Model Schools in every mandal and district.
The School Education Department and Samagra Shiksha have set “Partnering with Parents, Powering Every Child’s Learning” as the theme for the meetings. As instructed, headmasters and teachers will conduct class-wise reviews with parents on academic performance, attendance, enrollment, and foundational learning progress before the general meeting.
Teachers have been asked to discuss absenteeism, the need for regular attendance, and areas where students need support. Parents will also be involved in campus upkeep and school development activities.
Headmasters were instructed to send written invitations through students by September 17 and ensure 100% participation. Schools can schedule meetings at flexible timings convenient for parents engaged in agricultural, daily-wage, or service work. State, district, and mandal-level education officials, including MEOs and Regional Joint Directors, will monitor the meetings.
