Telangana Got Rs.3 Lakh Crore Investments in 17 Months
Eye on $1-tn GDP, Revanth Reddy seeks people's help

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Monday said that Telangana had attracted Rs.3 lakh crore investments, which resulted in the creation of over one lakh private sector jobs in just 17 months since the party assumed office in December 2023.
The Chief Minister said that the state’s rapid economic growth and investment inflow are a direct result of the Congress government's pro-business policies and international outreach initiatives. Revanth Reddy also highlighted that the ongoing Miss World competition in Hyderabad was just the beginning of more global events to be hosted in the city in the coming days.
After inaugurating Sonata Software’s new facility at Nanakramguda on Monday, Revanth Reddy urged the support of all sections to achieve the state government's ambitious goals. "To achieve a $1 trillion economy and transform Hyderabad into the world’s most amazing city, I need your support. We have to do it together. Become brand ambassadors of Hyderabad and showcase our achievements to the world," the Chief Minister appealed.
Revanth Reddy said Telangana was now a leading investment hub in the country. “During my visits to the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos and investor meets in the US, South Korea, Japan and Singapore, we have convinced the world that Telangana means business,” he said.
The Chief Minister said during the Davos WEF summit earlier this year, Telangana secured investments worth `1.78 lakh crore, positioning the state as No. 1 in India for both domestic and international investments.
Revanth Reddy outlined Hyderabad’s growing prominence as a global business hub, particularly in the sectors of artificial intelligence, software, life sciences and manufacturing.
“Hyderabad is now a Global Capability Centre hub, with significant strides in AI-ready data centres, life sciences and manufacturing,” he said, noting the expansion of major IT firms like Microsoft, Cognizant, HCL Tech, Infosys and Wipro in the city.
Revanth Reddy said that Telangana was leading the nation in various other key sectors. "We are No. 1 in policing and law and order, according to a recent government of India report. We are also leading in managing inflation, job creation both in the government and private sectors and in tax collections,”
As part of his vision for holistic growth, Revanth Reddy shared details about several ambitious initiatives his government is working on, including the country’s largest entrepreneur funding and mentoring programme, which is empowering 66 lakh women through self-help groups (SHGs). He also announced plans to fund and mentor young entrepreneurs under the Rajiv Yuva Vikasam programme.
The Chief Minister revealed that Telangana has become a pioneer in inclusivity by becoming the first state in India to recruit transgenders into the Hyderabad Traffic Police force as volunteers. "We are working to ensure that every section of society is represented in the workforce,” he said.
On the infrastructure front, Revanth Reddy spoke of several landmark projects, including the construction of a dry port connected to a sea port in Andhra Pradesh, along with dedicated road and rail corridors. He said the state government is building the “Future City” within Hyderabad, which will incorporate an AI-driven city plan along with the Young India Skills University and the Young India Sports University.
