Telangana Reels Under Heavy Rainfall; Jangaon Records Highest at 136mm

Hyderabad: Torrential rains lashed several parts of East, North, and Central Telangana, causing significant disruptions and affecting daily life across multiple districts.
According to data from the Telangana Development Planning Society (TGDPS), Jangaon district recorded the highest rainfall at an unprecedented 136 mm, followed closely by Bhadradri Kothagudem with 121.5 mm. Other districts, including Mulugu (119 mm), Kamareddy (118 mm), Suryapet (116.3 mm), and Karimnagar (115.8 mm), also experienced heavy to very heavy rainfall.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted that similar weather conditions will persist over the next few days, urging residents to remain cautious. Hyderabad, too, saw moderate rainfall, with RC Puram recording 79.8 mm.
