Telangana Police Leads in Tech Use for Law, Says DGP Jitender
The DGP appreciated the police for their efforts in spreading awareness about traffic rules and cybercrime prevention.

Kamareddy: Director General of Police Dr Jitender said that Telangana state police comes on top in India in use of technology to maintain law and order. With the cooperation of the people, police are discharging their duties, he said. Despite investigating crimes, police should give top priority for prevention of crime in their respective areas, he suggested.
DGP Jitender along with multi-zone-I inspector general of police S. Chandrasekhar Reddy visited Kamareddy district police office on Thursday and conducted review meeting. After receiving guard of honour, DGP planted saplings at SP office premises. He also presented cash rewards to the cops who performed well. Kamareddy superintendent of police M. Sharat Chandra, Nizamabad commissioner of police P. Sai Chaitanya and other officials were present.
Speaking at the meeting, DGP Jitender emphasised that the primary duty of the police is to instill a sense of safety and security among the public. He urged officers to actively engage with communities, gather information, and address local issues to help reduce crime rates. He also stressed the importance of conducting impartial investigations to ensure justice for victims. Additionally, he directed police to coordinate with National Highway Authority officials and implement measures to prevent road accidents.
DGP Jitender commended the police for their efforts in raising public awareness about traffic regulations and preventive measures against cybercrime. He emphasised the need to closely monitor habitual offenders, noting that repeat criminals often continue to engage in unlawful activities. During the visit, he held one-on-one interactions with DSPs and Circle Inspectors, reviewing crime trends and discussing investigation challenges. District Collector Ashish Sangvan, Kamareddy ASP Chaitanya Reddy, additional SP K. Narasimha Reddy, and other officials were also present.
