Telangana Partners with Germany’s Lower Saxony on Skilled Workforce

A key area of collaboration includes the exchange of knowledge and best practices in workforce development systems

Hyderabad: The Telangana government and Niedersachsen, the Government of Lower Saxony, have partnered to address the growing demand for a skilled workforce across key sectors by jointly identifying skill gaps and facilitating the mobility of qualified professionals.

Labour, Employment, Training and Factories Minister Gaddam Vivek Venkat Swamy and Lower Saxony Minister for Hannover, Tonne, on Wednesday exchanged a Letter of Intent, marking a significant step toward strengthening bilateral cooperation in the field of international talent mobilisation and workforce development.

Both sides have expressed their commitment to developing structured and transparent legal pathways for skilled migration, ensuring the safe, orderly, and mutually beneficial movement of talent.

A key area of collaboration includes the exchange of knowledge and best practices in workforce development systems. This will involve sharing expertise in vocational education, skill certification, and industry-aligned training frameworks to strengthen institutional capacities on both sides.

Additionally, the cooperation will extend to German language training initiatives, particularly aimed at preparing candidates for employment opportunities in Lower Saxony.
