Telangana Govt's Scholarship For BC, EBC Students To Study Abroad

Hyderabad: The Telangana government has announced the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Overseas Vidya Nidhi Scheme to provide higher education opportunities to BC and EBC students for students planning to study abroad.
Applications will be open from September 1 to September 30, 2026. A total of 350 students - 250 BC and 100 EBC students - will be selected under the scheme. The scheme supports eligible students pursuing or planning to pursue post-graduation, PhD, and other higher education courses abroad.
To be eligible, the applicant's family annual income should be below Rs 5 lakh, age should not be above 35 years, and they must have secured a minimum of 60% marks in graduation. The required scores are GRE 260 / GMAT 500 and TOEFL 60 / IELTS 6.0 / PTE 50.
Eligible students can apply through the Telangana ePASS portal, as per the notification issued by the Commissioner of BC Welfare, B Bala Maya Devi.
