Telangana Officials Represent State at Central Health Council Meeting in Delhi

He briefed the officials and issued instructions on the key agenda items to be discussed at the council meeting.

Hyderabad:Principal secretary, health, Dr Christina Z. Chongthu and health commissioner Dr Sangeetha Satyanarayana represented Telangana at a meeting of Central Council of Health & Family Welfare (CCHFW), in Delhi on Monday. The Centre sought the views of states on measures to further strengthen coordination and improve the quality of public healthcare services.

Health minister Damodar Rajanrasimha, who was scheduled to attend the meeting, cancelled his visit to Delhi citing unavoidable reasons. He briefed the officials and issued instructions on the key agenda items to be discussed at the council meeting.

The meeting, chaired by Union health minister J.P. Nadda deliberated on key issues, including the implementation of the National Health Mission (NHM), digital health initiatives, allied health services, food safety, and public health programmes.
