Telangana Nurses Association Affiliates With All India Government Nurses Federation

TNA, which was established in 1963, represents Government Nursing Personnel in Telangana.

Hyderabad:The Telangana Nurses Association (TNA) has formally affiliated with the All India Government Nurses Federation (AIGNF) for 2026, providing a national platform for government nursing personnel from the state to raise professional and service-related issues.

TNA, which was established in 1963, represents Government Nursing Personnel in Telangana. The association was formally registered under the Societies Registration Act in 1982 with Registration No. 126/1982.

The association also highlighted its historical connection with AIGNF. G.K. Khurana, Secretary General, AIGNF, recalled that more than 100 representatives from the then Andhra Pradesh participated in the process that led to the formation of AIGNF in 1988 under the leadership of Kankacharlu.

The TNA said the government recognised the unified Andhra Pradesh Government Nurses Association through GO Ms. No. 358, general administration department (GAD-N), dated June 5, 2008. The unified association was formed through the merger of the Telangana Nurses Association, registered under No. 126/1982, and the Andhra Pradesh Nurses Association, registered under No. 21.
