Telangana Milestones Book Launched In US
The publication documents archaeological and historical discoveries from Telangana, including the largest microlith from Somasila dated to 12,500 years ago, a Mesolithic hutment from Chinnamarur dated to 4000 BCE, an ivory comb from Pochampadu dated to 1000 BCE, a silver portrait coin of Sivasri Pulumavi from Peddabankur dated to the 2nd century CE, and a Sivalinga from Keesaragutta dated to the 4th century CE

Hyderabad: A book titled ‘Milestones in the History of Telangana’, authored by archaeologist and Pleach India Foundation CEO Dr E. Sivanagireddy, was unveiled at the 19th American Telugu Association (ATA) conference and youth convention held at Baltimore in the US on Saturday.
The book was released by Venu Nakshatram, the chair of the ATA literary wing, and Enugu Narasimha Reddy, director of the Telangana language and culture department.

Venu Nakshatram said the book captures discoveries in Telangana’s history and archaeology that are not part of standard textbooks.
