Telangana: Man Kills Wife, Dies By Suicide After Family Dispute

NALGONDA: A 68-year-old man allegedly killed his wife with an iron rod at Gottiparthy in Thungathurthi mandal of Suryapet district following a family dispute and later died by suicide, police said on Thursday. The deceased were identified as Kota Satyanarayana, 68, and his wife Kanaka Lakshmi, 60, both natives of Gottiparthy.
Police said the couple quarrelled at their house late on Wednesday night over a family issue. Satyanarayana allegedly attacked Kanaka Lakshmi with an iron rod, causing head injuries. She died on the spot.
On Thursday morning, neighbours grew suspicious after the doors of the house remained closed. They looked through a window and found the couple dead. The couple had two sons and a daughter, who live elsewhere. Thungathurthi police reached the spot and shifted the bodies to the government hospital for autopsy.
