Telangana: Man Electrocuted While Fishing
Miryalaguda Rural Police have registered the incident and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the electrocution.

Nalgonda: A 45-year-old man was electrocuted and killed while fishing in a local pond at Chillapuram in Miryalaguda mandal on Sunday, police reported. The victim, identified as Boddupally Narayana of Chillapuram village, came into contact with a live electric wire connected to a nearby agricultural pump set, suffering fatal injuries at the scene. Miryalaguda Rural Police have registered the incident and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the electrocution.
Constables suspended for seeking bribes
Warangal police commissioner Sunpreet Singh on Sunday suspended head constable G. Balaji and constable N. Raju of Tarigoppula Police Station in Jangaon district after an internal probe confirmed allegations that they solicited bribes from an accused in exchange for favourable treatment. The investigation, conducted by senior police officers, found that both men demanded money from the suspect. Acting on these findings, commissioner Singh issued immediate suspension orders.
