Telangana: Mahbubabad Police Push For Drug-Free Villages, Mandatory Helmet Use

MAHBUBABAD: The ‘Mana Ooru – Mana Badhyatha’ campaign of the Mahbubabad district police has been conducted in over 100-gram panchayats and municipal wards, drawing participation from residents across the district.
The initiative is aimed at strengthening law and order, improving road safety, curbing crime, and preventing ganja abuse, while promoting community participation in policing. As part of the campaign, police have carried out door-to-door awareness drives, helmet rallies, anti-drug campaigns, and outreach programmes on installation of CCTV cameras in villages.
Speaking at a programme in Gopalapuram village of Garla mandal, superintendent of police Dr Shabarish urged residents to enforce the ‘No Helmet, No Entry’ rule and work towards making villages free of ganja and other narcotic substances.
He said installation of CCTV cameras would aid crime prevention and enhance public safety, adding that community participation was essential to maintain peace and security.
